Sydney [Mar. 19th, 2008|10:40 pm]
Been attending a conference for work in Sydney, Australia. Pretty awesome town, if you ask me (but I've only been here for a day). Its mostly a sales conference, and I'm an engineer, so it means the parties have a particular flavor that is... not quite engineer-like :).

In any case, I'm highly amused becuase tonight I got to see an all-employee band (from the asia/pacific region) play "Land down under" by Men at Work in Sydney, in front of an all-asia-pacific crowd that was screaming and bouncing a beachball around.

Oddly, that's one of our sound test songs!

1. Do you have Will Uther's #? I might still have it.

2. If you only have time to do one thing outside the conference, go to Toronga Zoo. Best view of the city, and very different assortment of animals than you see in US zoos. Also, the area around the Opera House is neat: cool local birds in the park and a popular district around Circular Quay (pronounced key).

The Bridge climb takes 4 hours and is uber-expensive, but still really cool.
