krchicken and I went to Home Depot to look at paint colors, and today we went looking for replacement couches. Now that closing is approaching, I'm starting to look at misc remodeling for the place. Yesterday, |
Apparently, Behr has this in-store kiosk at home depot that lets you tell it what colors you like and it tells you which ones go with it. It was pretty cool, and quite useful. The UI could have responded a lot faster though, and could have waited a while longer each time it gave you a color before timing out (the display was poor, so you always had to go find the color in the rack to compare).
For couch shopping we went to Ethan Allen, Levitz, and JC Penny. Ethan Allen seemd to have by far the most choices for fabric and styles, but their couches were, overall, the most "fancy" and least comfortable. Levitz had some nice stuff but very few color choices. JC penny had a mix.
We did conclude that apparently, comfortable couches are only coming in brown and varients of brown these days.
The mall for JC penny was pretty geeky. There was a model train "society", an armory (sword) store, and a games store.
