Given that I haven't flown in a week (due to bad weather and busy days at work), and I won't get to fly next week because of carnival, I was hoping to get some time in this weekend.|
Didn't happen quite how I wanted, since both days had clouds low enough to blow away my plans to do a simulated instrument "cross country" (where I'd be following some VORs). Saturday the runway was wet and there was an agressive 90 degree crosswind at palo alto, so I didn't go flying then either. Today the crosswind was still there (8-10 knots) but the runway was dry, so I went up with an instructor and did 5 nice clean crosswind landings, and 2 pretty good go-arounds. It was pretty tiring to do that many in a row, so I was only out for an hour or so, but it was nice to get out there anyway.
