Rock On [Apr. 21st, 2006|12:38 am]

Just got back from a good time at deathb's house, after a trip to mad mex involving 2 and one half margaritas. I was pretty toasted for a while, but I missed mad mex gratuitously and had a great time overall .

I'm stunned at the total lack of underclassmen around running tech for events this year. There were only alumni at sidestage for several hours, and the crew moving the stage (for rain call) to the gym was about 85% alums... Guess its a good thing we showed up this year..

This did have the side effect of me getting to run one of the sidestage bands that was pretty awesome. I was sad they had no CDs to sell, actually... The lead singer did decide he needed to twirl the mic from its cord and climb on LAs (the sidestage main speakers), but, they rocked pretty hard. I didn't stay for the comedian though, I was at mad mex.

Hmmm. I see rain rain and more rain in the Pittsburgh forecast. Hopefully the youngin's show up to move the stage. Only two hours until buggy starts, but I think I'll assume it will rain out and thus I should sleep.

The stage is already moved...

I don't see actual rain yet, so buggy may be safe.

*jealous* a mad mex margarita is the only thing that could have salvaged my evening. *grump*

Too many normally ABTech people are CarnEvil chairs, and some are doing SnS too. It's really drained us.

I'm not sure I'm convinced that the number of Committee members or SnS participants was any worse than "normal" but maybe I'm underestimating my counts.
